In this project I was assigned to design a dustcover for any novel, only using illustrations. I chose to do my project of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. I started off with some brainstorming and researching. I researched what the cover of the novel there already was and I brainstormed key moments in the story to decide what I will do. I ended up deciding to design the wardrobe which was their entrance to Narnia, and I thought it was a great idea to make it seem like it was our entrance to Narnia as well. I sketched up a draft, brought it into illustrator and then added some gradients.
