Allume

With a partner, we were assigned to create a brand. We started off with brainstorming what our brand and what our brand promise will be. We decided on scented candles made with essential oils. We wanted our candles to be affordable and be made with all natural ingredients. Now that we had the idea of the what our brand will be it was time to create our brand identity.

Brand Identity

We started with a mood board. We wanted to really get a feel of what feeling we want our brand to give off with images and what our color palette will be. The mood ended up being rustic and elegant with our dark and light colors. We then brainstormed a lot of different logo ideas after deciding our brand’s name will be “Allume”. We explored many different ideas, we played with the typeface, we added flames to see how it would look. We searched up a lot of different fonts, serifs and sans serifs and put them on a page to see how our brand will look in those fonts. Eventually we decided on our final logo design and our fonts.

Business Cards

Next we designed our business cards. We came up with many different concepts that sketched and designed on illustrator. We wanted something simplistic but gave off the mood we set for Allume to keep it all on brand.

Letterhead & Envelope

Then we designed some stationary including a letter head and the envelope. Keeping the brand colors, we designed the envelope to be our maroon brand color and for our letterhead we included our fonts and an image of a maroon candle.

Labels & Candles

We designed 8 labels using a solid color for our background then used a white for our text and we then did some line art for our labels. For the scented candles themselves, we had them made at a place in pointe-claire and they were made with essential oils.

Packaging

For packaging I took our brand colors and created a box to carry the candles

Lastly we designed a website for our candles, if you wanted to order them online.
